We were bursting with
anticipation awaiting our evening at this world-renowned cabaret. Established
in 1889 and seating up to 850 guest, this venue boasts an extravagant show that
awakens all your senses. From the moment you enter the building with its red
velvet walls and lavish furnishings, you are enthralled by the decadence of the
place. After enjoying the spoils of French gastronomique, the show begins with
an abundance of glitz and glamour, feathers and sequins. At one stage during
the show a water tank arises and one of the show girls gracefully dives into
the tank, performing a water routine with enormous pythons. Of course the
legendary Le French Cancan due Moulin Rouge was one of the highlights of the
evening with all the frills, flamboyance, screams and boisterous rhythm.
To my surprise, out of
hundreds of guests, my husband is pulled out of the audience to perform on
stage with three other guests. How remarkable. Not everyday one can boast of
having performed on stage at the
Moulin Rouge. Overall, this was a brilliant night that I am sure we will
remember for the rest of our lives.
